An animal adult, whether human or non-human, is a creature that has developed to the fullest extent. For humans an adult's term has significance that is shaped by moral and social concepts. Contrary to the term "minor" (or "non-adult" an legal adult refers to a person who is a an age at which they are majority. They are regarded as competent, responsible and independent. Also known as "majors" and "majors", they may also be said to be at the age of adulthood. The average age at which you can attain legally adulthood is 18 but the definition can vary based on the legal rights of the country as well as the stage of psychological development.

The stage of development for humans that is when mental and physical maturity is attained. Adulthood is commonly considered to begin at age 20 or 21 years. Following middle age (starting at around 40) then comes older age (around age 60). Adulthood can be divided into three stages beginning with early adulthood (18-mid-30s) and mid-30s to mid-60s and the final stage of adulthood, mid-60s to end of life. As we enter the initial stage of adulthood (between 20 and 40) the bodies of our children have reached full maturation although our weight and height could increase slightly. As we grow older, we are at the peak of our physical ability.
